I can't compete against you, guys. I mean, you've beaten more games than I own!

I have been playing computer games since about 1985 so there is no way I could list all of the games I've completed, but I will list a rough estimate of how many games I have completed on each console:

Gameboy.
10 - 15

NES.
10 - 15

Master System II.
20 - 25

Super Nintendo.
40 - 50

Mega Drive/Genisis.
10 - 15

Sega Saturn.
5 - 10

Nintendo 64.
30 - 40

PSX.
at least 50

Sega Dreamcast.
5 -10

PS2.
20 - 30

GameCube.
10 - 15

PC.
40 - 50

So that’s about 300 games over the last 20 years and I plan to complete a lot more too.

I don't feel like listing all names but I think I have beaten around 40-50 games.

The games I spent the most time on to fully beat it were GT2 and 3. With the endurance races, it simply takes forever to achieve 100% (besides, a glitch in GT2 prevented me from getting the official 100%: the game stopped at 98,2%...)
I also own GT4, but this one is even longer and tougher than all others GT put together! Seriously, there are three 24-hour endurance races! Even though you can do it in B-Spec mode, which will reduce the race time by three, it would still take 24 hours (8 hours x 3) only to complete those three races. And there are other events that take forever to complete. I can hardly play any games with school, so I surely can't afford to spend time on these races. This is sad, because I would really like to complete GT4.

Mate I just purchased GT4 (got it cheap) and it is one of the best quality games I have ever played. I have been playing the Gran Turismo series since the first game was released in ’98 and I am enjoying GT4 as much as I enjoyed GT1 and GT2 (GT3 was good but boring in some races). I still haven’t attained 100% on GT3 (92%) because of all the long races, I will do it one day soon though.

GT3 is actually the only GT in which I've achieved 100%. I never completed one of the endurance races in GT1 (and since the sequels have been out, I obvioulsy haven't played GT1 again) and I explained the glitch I had in GT2. As for GT4, well if you had trouble with the long races in GT3, well forget about it! To get 100%, I guess you would have to spend whole days on it for like a month!

Yeah but GT4 is so much better that GT3 and I do plan to 100% both of them, but as you say it's going to take a big commitment (I did 100% GT1 and GT2), from memory I have 3 endurance races and about 5 competitions to do in GT3 so it hopefully won’t take too long.

Hey hang on you say you attained 100% on GT3, which means you earned all the gold times for all the licences. Well that is no small achievement, I know how hard it was and I will definitely congratulate you for that, well done.

By the way, what percentage have you attained on GT4 so far?

I have played almost every night for over a week and I have done 12.8%, it’s going to take forever to reach 100% by the looks of things. I have already earned the RX8 LM Race Car which makes the hard races not so hard.

No, that's not true: you don't need all gold in the liscence tests to get 100%. Otherwise I would never have achieved it!

I can't remember exactly what percentage I've done in GT4. I'll have to look it up.

What? I could have sworn GT3 required all gold medals to 100% the game. Hmm it must have been GT2 that required it then.
