I like SF2 the best, that part seems the hardest time for Logan. The game has the best boss theme. The Agency is my favorite group to go against. My favorite level of all SFs are the Colorado Rockies (I like snow levels like Belarus2), the best stealth mission McKenzie Airbase. The connecting with the runnels, the bridge and the train and then killing Archer. It all takes place on the rockies. I really love that part.

I'm totaly agree with you (exept that i find the first sleath missions a bit frustrating... well, until you get the tazer :D )

It was a tough decision...I love SF1 and SF2 almost equally...but the stealth missions won it over for me with SF2. I prefer Girdeux's boss theme to the general boss theme in SF2...but that doesn't mean the SF2 one isn't great. Hell, I remember having bought a toy apache attack helicopter and a little action figure dude...o.o Archer and Logan ;>>

That was fun...^_^; this was many years ago BTW...

SF2 was my first FPS game. When i finished one mission, i was really happy, it was hard... An other thing that make SF2 what it is is the storyboard. Once you've got the disks, you think that Lian could have is antidote. FALSE, they are crypted disks, so you have to go to pharcom museum... And then To meet Gregorov in the volkov park (HELL)... And then Aljir to rescue Gregorov... I just wonder WHEN IT WOULD FINISH !!! When Gregorov gave Gabe the disks I thought that there would be an other incident as "the disks are unreadable, please go to Kazakhstan get the copy of the disks..." Or something like that. NO, we did'nt have to purchase anymore. Then the bio labs, AND the bio labs escape, with 5 M-79 bullet for 6 United1 to kill... And then the end... you're happy, the game is finished, you had hard time but in a few moments it will be over, thanks to Lian, Teresa ans Lawrence, blablabli blablabla... And Teresa die ! When I finished the game i was happy for having finished it, but not so happy...

SF2 was the game that brought me the bigger number of emotions....

BUT...

I don't vote vote SF2 but SFOS... why ?

When i started SFOS my goal was to manage entirely (time + objectives) one mission before doing the other... hard to do, and i didn't manage to do it nonetheless (thanks to all my english teachers for this word) when i had to do the last missions, because i spent lot of time doing the first missions, I had the feeling that there were like my last missions. I had really hard time in Zurich. The music of Tokyo and Myanmar were exotic, so when i heard the music of Zurich I thought that something serious had happened, that the end was near, the final Kombat was close... AND IT WAS ! Its name : Ukraine. The Hell... I loved this mission, hard but the most exciting mission of all SF for me.
SFOS brought me emotions, less than SF2, but it brought some strong : i don't know why but I allways am scary in Minsk and Lorelei. I hate Yemen1, with the f******* stealth to maintain... And I really enjoyed when I became T4...

so :

Storyboard : SF2
graphics : SFOS (I really enjoy be a fwine :) )
Music : SFOS
Missions : SF2 but SFOS is close
Overall : SFOS wins, but SF2 is close behind.

You know I can't choose one! I like all SF like they were one big game (like I've explained many times already).

However, since it's a poll and I have to pick one, I'll go with SF1. It's the first game, so obviously my first contact with the series. It sets the ground for its sequels and it's the one that makes me feel the most nostalic each time I play it.

But I can't just play one SF without playing the other 3. It just would be complete experience unless you go through them all.

I know but you can see it like chapters and obviously you will like one of the chapters the best.

SF3 for me, the significance of everything is what makes it my favourite. I particularly like the history learnt from some of the missions, but my favourite part of the whole SF series is when you finish SF3 and watch the ending. I thought at the time that there wouldn’t be anymore SF games after SF3, so I was extremely happy after seeing the ending.

It’s actually one of my favourite gaming moments of my life, I see Gabe laying out his plans for the new agency then the camera pans away to the ocean and the credits start to roll, I’m thinking ‘oh yeah, I have just finished one of the best computer game series of all time’. Then the credits stop, the music gets extremely intense, the camera all of a sudden dives under the water, now I’m thinking ‘what the?’. Then everything is revealed as I see the deep sea retrieval equipment and the S.S. Lorelei cargo. I had this tremendous feeling of happiness after that and not many games have done that to me.

True, SF3 has the closest thing to a "real" good ending.
In SF1, the ending is only leaving you with more questions and the scene is rather short: it doesn't even leave Kazakhstan.
In SF2, Teresa is dead and everyone is mourning over her gravestone.

As in SF3, everything seems to back to normal. All known enemy leaders have been taken care of. Only Mara is said to have escaped, but it doesn't seem like Gabe is too concerned about it. If the scene had ended there, as you said, the series could have been over.
